Turn On Profile Picture Guard on Mobile

The steps for turning on Profile Picture Guard are very simple and straightforward. Just follow the step as given below:

Step 1: Login to your Facebook Account and Tap on your Current Facebook Profile Picture in Edit mode.

Step 2: Now you will get many options, including one option “Turn on the Profile Photo Guard”. Just tap on this option.

Step 3: In next screen, you will be shown what exactly this feature gonna do, as shown in Image no. 2 of GIF given below. Tap on Next and move forward.

Step 4: In Next screen, it will show a preview of your Image with a blue border around your profile picture and a Shield icon. Tap on ‘Save’ button to confirm it. That’s it.

Turn On Profile Picture Guard on Desktop PC

On Desktop Computer steps are also similar to the above one. Just follow the steps given below:

Step 1: Login to your Facebook account and Click on your profile photo. Remember don’t click on ‘Update Profile Picture’ option. Click anywhere just area above it.

Step 2: It will open your profile picture in a pop-up window. On the Bottom-Right side of the Picture screen, just click on ‘Options’ link –> ‘Turn on the profile picture Guard’.

Step 3: In the next screen, it will show you a preview of your Image, with a blue border around your profile picture and a shield icon. Now click on ‘Save’ button to confirm it. That’s it.

Now you have secured your current profile picture on Facebook from others as:

  • no one can download or share your profile picture,
  • Only you and your friends can tag your profile picture,
  • A shield signal appears on your profile picture, that indicates that other people should respect your profile picture.
